HURRAY!!!!! My friend Allison, recently posted (okay maybe it has been a month or so) that the plumber had been to her house putting in the toilets and the rest of the plumbing. I thought that maybe she was making it a little more dramatic, than it really should have been. Now that being said, I need to insert my foot into my mouth and Sing praises that we finally have running water at our house, and it is heavenly. There was no over-dramatization, Allison, I hear ya now. Yup Kairi and I and Cameron have each flushed the toilet at least once, just to see it work. Kairi actually squealed with delight- that was so funny!!!! Anyway, so I have placed toilet paper in the bathrooms, so that they can be used when we are out there. I have never been so excited for indoor plumbing!!!! Hey Dad, Is this what it was like when ya'll got indoor plumbing? :-) Just Kidding!!!!

Mother

Soon after my recent post, My dad sent me these pictures. For whatever reason, she seems settled with the headstone in place. You can never guess how significant it feels to know that they are there showing that she does exist and that her impact isn't just on our hearts. Anyway, I wanted to post them for everyone to see. I think the Headstone is beautiful and exactly what she would have picked. Great job, Dad!!!!!!

Promises....
As promised, I have pictures of our almost completed home. I am really happy with the choices I have made with it. Now if only we could live in it. Somehow it seems that things would finally feel in place and grounded. But I guess I won't be able to give that report until after we move in. I hope you all enjoy the semi- tour.....

*****Warning!!!! Read at your own Risk*******
Mother's Day was a week ago.... and I feel I have put off this post long enough. It is not that I don't want to talk about my mother, it is just that it brings to the surface some very tender emotions. I am posting this mainly for and to her, however, if you would like to read, please do so with an open mind. It has now been 18 months since mother passed away and at times it still feels like a dream. I know that she is still there. I know that she hugs and kisses me when I need it. I know she whispers words of comfort in my ear and is ever mindful of me, my emotions and my struggles. And even though I know these things, the ache is still there, the sadness permeates my mind, and I miss her dearly. Although Mother's Day is an earthly holiday, I know it is acknowledged in Heaven because I am not the only person who celebrates motherhood in this way. Those mothers who have passed know they are celebrated here on Earth and I think they take pause to turn their minds to us as our minds are turned to them. These are my thoughts to my mother:
Dear Mom,
Miss you.... a lot. The struggles continue. So many times I have needed to call and ask you some words of advice. How to handle so very tough situations that have arisen. I wish my kids could see you and have you in their lives. Kesslynn still looks like you and I hope that she always does. Sometimes we wonder what kind of legacy we will leave behind when we leave this earth, but mom I want you to know that your legacy is in me and Dave and Tenille and Talon. It lives in Kairi and Kesslynn. It lives in the people we all have become and will become. The girls are growing so big. Kesslynn is talking, and walking and driving me crazy when she and Kairi team up against me. They sometimes speak of the ties that bind and I want you to know that in our family those ties had your name written on them. WE MISS YOU. I LOVE YOU. I wish that I could have known how much I love you before you died. I can't wait for the day when I get to have your arms around me again and for my arms to be around you. I hope I never disappoint you. I hope I always live up to your expectations of me, your dreams for me and your hopes for me. I LOVE YOU. Love, Heidi

Update!!!!!
Honestly, I get so frustrated when I blog-surf and people haven't updated. Then I realize that road is a two-way street. I have been incredibly busy getting the house close to done. We are finally on the down-hill slope and things have been rocky. I recently had a huge blow-up over the whole thing which is so atypical of me *sarcastic* Needless to say the administrators of the program had a word or two for me. Oh, well..... what can I say. So needless to say we are just barely starting to get flooring in and so far have linoleum and pergo down. The next week is supposed to get much more hectic with the subs for tile, carpet, plumbing, and cabinets starting. In the meantime, I have been doing the finish electrical (ie: outlets and switches) for ALL 5 HOMES. Pretty much by myself. I really enjoy it. And think of it like nursing. Don't ask how unless you really want to know, though, because it gets pretty detailed. Anyway hopefully soon i will have much much much more time to blog in the near future and some pictures to go with it.

Reflections of Christ
I got this in my e-mail today. Where we just celebrated Easter, I thought that it was fitting to place this on my blog. The photography is exquisite and the video was amazing. It really hit home and made me stop and think about the reason for all of us. Please take the time to visit this site and enjoy the "Reflections of Christ".

Quick house update
No picture on this one, but here is where we stand on our house. We have paint and trim done. Lights are hung. Outlets are all done up. Switches are in place. TV and phone are done too. We still have to have 5 homes completed before we can move in, but we are getting closer. TPTB want the houses done by April 15th, or they will hire contractors to come finish them at our expense, but we (Cameron and I) won't have to worry about that. We are now to the point where the contractors are pretty much left. There are 2 houses that will probably not be ready. Hopefully it won't take long to complete though. So there we are.... I will post pictures when the cabinets and carpet are in. There won't be many posting on the blog until then, because I will be spending a lot of time working. Many thanks to those who are helping out with the house and the girls. We couldn't do this without you......

Easter
Easter is always a good time. The trouble with Vernal, however, is that it tends to be a little bit chilly at Easter. This year with it being so much earlier, it was particularly cooler and a little annoying. On Saturday, we attended the annual XRQ Easter Egg Hunt. The girls came away with just enough candy to annoy me for a few weeks, but not too much. It was fun. Easter Sunday we got up and the girls' found their Easter Baskets then it was tornado-mode to get to church on time. When we got home it was naps then the Easter Egg hunt. They had a blast and Kesslynn quickly learned how to open the eggs. Candy, in her world, is a very motivating factor. I bought both girls matching Easter dresses, because I think it is sooooooo cute. Made them matching bows and called it good. Kairi we got the "Barbie Mariposa" movie and the Doll to go with it. She loves to play with it. Kesslynn we got some of those Tadoodles crayons for little hands. Trouble is her hands are still too little. It is funny to think that her hands are too little for even the little people crayons... Anyway she figured out her own way of using them and loves to color on EVERYTHING with them. Then during their Easter Egg Hunt, the girls also found their very special Golden Easter Eggs courtesy of the Easter Bunny (aka Grandpa Dave) and some more Easter Baskets. I am still recovering.......
