Tenille, my favorite little sister, is amazing.... She ran the running portion of a triathlon splitting the swimming and biking with two other ladies from her work. I am so impressed by her. She did so good and even better, Dad, Sarah and the boys were here to help cheer her on as well. It was so much fun to see her do it!!!!
Hand-off station.... Tenille is the last leg
Here she comes! Finishing off the race for her team!!!!

No Pictures Please......
Well we just recently acquired the internet here, and so I thought that I would drop a quick post so that all the world knows:
WE LIVE IN OUR HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!! That being said, I hope to never move again. Either that or the girls will have to leave all of their CRAP behind in order for me to feel okay about trying again. At this point I feel buried in boxes and can't believe that we have acquired all of this stuff. Especially since we lived in probably a third the space and have still managed to fill this space well. I guess it was really time. Needless to say, I will get back into the rhythm of things and you will hear and see from me more hopefully in the next week or two. Hang in there with me PLEASE...................

Toilet Habits
HURRAY!!!!! My friend Allison, recently posted (okay maybe it has been a month or so) that the plumber had been to her house putting in the toilets and the rest of the plumbing. I thought that maybe she was making it a little more dramatic, than it really should have been. Now that being said, I need to insert my foot into my mouth and Sing praises that we finally have running water at our house, and it is heavenly. There was no over-dramatization, Allison, I hear ya now. Yup Kairi and I and Cameron have each flushed the toilet at least once, just to see it work. Kairi actually squealed with delight- that was so funny!!!! Anyway, so I have placed toilet paper in the bathrooms, so that they can be used when we are out there. I have never been so excited for indoor plumbing!!!! Hey Dad, Is this what it was like when ya'll got indoor plumbing? :-) Just Kidding!!!!

Mother

Soon after my recent post, My dad sent me these pictures. For whatever reason, she seems settled with the headstone in place. You can never guess how significant it feels to know that they are there showing that she does exist and that her impact isn't just on our hearts. Anyway, I wanted to post them for everyone to see. I think the Headstone is beautiful and exactly what she would have picked. Great job, Dad!!!!!!

Promises....
As promised, I have pictures of our almost completed home. I am really happy with the choices I have made with it. Now if only we could live in it. Somehow it seems that things would finally feel in place and grounded. But I guess I won't be able to give that report until after we move in. I hope you all enjoy the semi- tour.....

*****Warning!!!! Read at your own Risk*******
Mother's Day was a week ago.... and I feel I have put off this post long enough. It is not that I don't want to talk about my mother, it is just that it brings to the surface some very tender emotions. I am posting this mainly for and to her, however, if you would like to read, please do so with an open mind. It has now been 18 months since mother passed away and at times it still feels like a dream. I know that she is still there. I know that she hugs and kisses me when I need it. I know she whispers words of comfort in my ear and is ever mindful of me, my emotions and my struggles. And even though I know these things, the ache is still there, the sadness permeates my mind, and I miss her dearly. Although Mother's Day is an earthly holiday, I know it is acknowledged in Heaven because I am not the only person who celebrates motherhood in this way. Those mothers who have passed know they are celebrated here on Earth and I think they take pause to turn their minds to us as our minds are turned to them. These are my thoughts to my mother:
Dear Mom,
Miss you.... a lot. The struggles continue. So many times I have needed to call and ask you some words of advice. How to handle so very tough situations that have arisen. I wish my kids could see you and have you in their lives. Kesslynn still looks like you and I hope that she always does. Sometimes we wonder what kind of legacy we will leave behind when we leave this earth, but mom I want you to know that your legacy is in me and Dave and Tenille and Talon. It lives in Kairi and Kesslynn. It lives in the people we all have become and will become. The girls are growing so big. Kesslynn is talking, and walking and driving me crazy when she and Kairi team up against me. They sometimes speak of the ties that bind and I want you to know that in our family those ties had your name written on them. WE MISS YOU. I LOVE YOU. I wish that I could have known how much I love you before you died. I can't wait for the day when I get to have your arms around me again and for my arms to be around you. I hope I never disappoint you. I hope I always live up to your expectations of me, your dreams for me and your hopes for me. I LOVE YOU. Love, Heidi
