I hate CHARLIE and I want to kill his HORSE

There are many, many, many joys of pregnancy to be discussed. However, can I just say that the one that always gets me comes right about now- 8 weeks before delivery. There is nothing like being on the threshold of waking, streching your body to it's limits and the start of day and--- WHAM!!!!! getting a calf or two tied up in a knot that you feel would take a hundred breadmakers 6 days to knead out of your muscle..... And that is why I want to kill Charlie's Horse.......

Oh...I don't miss those moments! You know what helped me...I would eat a banana right before bedtime, then I was fine! Hope you are doing fine other wise!

I'm right there with ya girl. I have 9 weeks to go. When you are stretching, (probably pointing your toes) the second you feel your calf start to "curl" pull your toes back fast and hard if that makes sense. Basically instead of pointing your toes, do the reverse and pull your foot back and it will stop it immediately before it's too late. Once it happens, it's torture for many days! I hate Charlie and his horse too! Good luck! ;)

I am sorry you are getting charlie horses. YUCK. I can't believe you have just 8 weeks left. That is crazy. I know it's different when you are the one pregnant, but I guess because I haven't seen you much... the time has flown by. Hope your muscles get a vacation...

not long after being in Romania and walking around so much and climbing so many stairs, I would sometimes wake up in the middle of the night with nasty cramps in my calves and would have to literaly pull my foot back toward my shin to break the cramp. yeah, it was tonz of fun.

If I could have killed Charlie's horse I would've already done it for you back when I was pregnant. By the way, love the new background. Can't wait to see a post about your trip.

If you get the chance, kill "Charlie's Horse" twice. Once for you and once for me!

I am totally on the same page. I hate that I can't strech without being attacked in my legs, feet, you name it. I only have about 10 weeks left so I am right behind you. Good luck with the last weeks!
